Last night, this thought went through my head. Randy died in his 60s. Becky died in her 60s. My mother died in her 60s. I am in my 60s.

It's why Italy is happening.

Today I drive to Concord for a college gymnastics reunion, but it's mainly the men's team who will be there. I'm going to make myself official photographer for the event. The food spread is announced as: smoked triple-tip sandwiches, shredded chicken BBQ sandwiches, smoked salmon, broccoli salad, chips and avocado dip, beer, wine, frozen mango margaritas and most any bar drink that you can thing of, homemade lemonade, sodas, water and so much more. (He has a speak-easy in his home.).

I'm bringing cookies from Sprouts. He only asked for additions if we wanted to bring something. And since it's last minute, I figured store bought bakery items are okay. I put them on a pretty tray, though.

I have been playing with my car navigation system. I don't use mine often. I'm more familiar with Google Maps. But if I use Google Maps in CarPlay, I can't listen to the radio or podcasts at the same time like I can with the Mercedes navigation system. What I can't figure out about the Mercedes one is how to see the entire route in print. So I'll probably just talk to myself on the the way there and then turn off Google Maps coming home after I get back on the freeway and know where I'm going. I familiarized myself with all the streets and turns. There are a lot of them when not on the freeway.

I still can't fit in my smallest pair of crop pants, which means I have a ways to go, even though I feel good now. Twelve pounds down and I should. Smoked salmon and broccoli salad fit very well into WW, so today shouldn't interfere with my weight goals.

It's been hot the last few days, but again, we are very lucky this summer that triple digits have been minimal. I don't know why I live in Sacramento. I am not a valley girl. I am a coastal girl at heart, as I've said many times.

Working on my travel video, but's it's hard to do not knowing what the weather will be in various places in Italy. Southern Italy is traditionally warmer than Northern Italy. October weather can be anything.
